Amanar and I made our first successful forway into the Chyan Empire today. Unlike last time with all 3 of us, we did fine but it is tough as hell. We took down a few bosses and no named drops. If there is an area that needs boss drop percentage commensurate with the effort to get to them, all bosses in Harad East/Chyan/Chey need attention.
While I do love ORDs to summon Nazguls, was hoping for something better after finally getting there |

We did another short run today during Amanar's lunch. Boss drops just +4 weapons, no ORDs today OR named drops. I will take ORDs over +4 trash
Have a few questions for the vets:
Where in the world is the key to get into that first gated town in Harshandat?
Those damn archers. I am guessing the blindness is on-hit from their armor? Would items that have built-in true seeing bypass that? Also, it appears that Blind Fighting does not help when you get blinded by them. What is up with that?
Very challenging. We plan on making deeper forays into this area this weekend or when we can get all three of us playing together. |

The first gated town is unfinished and therefore not able to be entered.
As to the rest...it's a really hard place meant for groups of very high level chars. I would tread lightly.

True Seeing will make you (the player behind the screen) see whats going on during the fight but it wont reduce the miss chance of your character. Blind fighting reduces that chance from 50% to 25% but wont affect what you see. |

My issue is that we have Blind Fighting, but when we get blinded by these archers damage goes up like you are flat footed and no bonuses. Not delved into the combat log to try and figure out what is going on. This only happens with these archers, Blind Fighting appears to work normally everywhere but here it seems to be broken. Perhaps I don't understand Blind Fighting correctly, lol
We are all 36+ working on 2'nd and 3'rd reinc. Very fun area with major challenge. Just trying to figure it out. Always happy to have others join us![/quote] _________________ Tread heavily and carry two big axes |

NWN's implemenation of blindness is pretty confusing. but as Serra said Blind fight won't affect what you see, oddly enough. you will need True seeing to be able to 'see' the ranged attackers and not be considered flat-footed. |

Aha, I think I understand now. If True Seeing was not so bugged....
Looking through the drop spreadsheet, it appears some items have True Seeing as an ability rather than a cast spell. Is that accurate? _________________ Tread heavily and carry two big axes |
