One would be Nice to atleast be able to reeboot the server and let us know whats going on, by speaking to Aule.

I generally hate the idea of DM's, and very rarely have seen eye to eye with ardas DM's but someone with the power to reeboot would be nice.
Im probably not going to get on with whoever does it, but thats just me, Im a grumpy *uck!

I really dont want someone to police the server and lay the law down or go on a power trip, just someone with a very long arm that stretches accross 2 continents and an ocean to Aule's server's on/off button.

Im sure no one will be opposing having a DM, but I guess its really not up to us to decide^^

well i wish that i could be the 1 if any1 dosent mind, i would also love to try to make some dm events on arda if any wants it, and i will for sure not be like santa and gives items away, i think in most of the events i would just say the fun and drop is the price of the events, i might on rarely occasions make some events that gives a price.

Heya guys,

Since the game server is running on my personal server at the house, I will have to limit the rebooting to myself and Yavanna. My server is a dual core machine with a very fast raid array, so it's got more than enough power, but it is connected over a DSL line. I have the faster version with 35ms ping time, but it's still a bit slower than the old ISP hosted location. I hope no one minds that I've restored the server with these relatively minor restrictions.

Hehe, that's what i thought the response would be Smile

it's great having the server online, so I can't imagine why anyone would object :p

Understandable if its a private server..

Just seems that when arda goes down at the moment it can be down for a few days? why is this?
