The Lands of Arda

Bob was playing NWN2 today & was perusing the lists of persistant worlds & he asked if I knew what Arda would be listed under...I kinda scanned thru the topics, but I don't see anything specific posted, so does that mean once we're up & running it'll be under the PW heading of 'Action' as before?

Also, whilst I was scanning for the aforementioned info, it reminded me there was some talk a bit ago about upcoming beta testing, which was obviously pushed back - any ETA for jonesing crackheads? Razz

cuz I'm sure you'll have the whole family volunteering when it comes to test subjects. Kinda-Arda is way better than no Arda lol

i think it either gonna be posted under pw action or pw story, wasent the old arda posted under that?

i think u r right, all the "arda heads" will love to be beta tester.

PW action is most likely the guise we will use, however there are still some NWN things to iron out before anything can truly be a "pw".

Anyway, I know this may sound disconcerting, but at the moment there is a bit of a slow pace to Arda's development in preparation for the beta. As you know, Sal has decided to step back on production for a while. While the rest of the team has chosen to stick with this, we all decided to take it as a "as we get time" project.

We all have fulltime jobs and because of this have chosen not to abandon Arda, but continue at a pace that suits our needs. I don't know about the other devs, but I currently Am working a 7:30 - 4:30 job every day with a combined 1:30 of travel time. On my last pay stub I worked 39.5 hours of overtime for 2 weeks (my company moved buildings, and we worked right through the weekend).

So in short I assure you Arda is not dead, but it at this point has no target date until all the devs can have a meeting and put together a gameplan for the remaining parts needed to make the world playable. Please stay tuned.

Playing nwn is all about relaxing and having a good time with friends.
So of course the making of a pw must be done in the same way. It should not feel like an obligation. There is no need to hurry since all good things are worth waiting for Wink
