I remember how Tsa made it his goal to kill Glorfindel, It was his holy grail, then he got 10th level PM and began owning Even and I. Those were the days.

I miss the days when I actually used to get lost in Arda, wondering around and stumbling upon new stuff. I'm sure Pan is sick of those days lol.

....the naked wobbit decathlon was always interesting though....

I remember when a small group was so well oiled, we started timing how long it'd take to kill glaurung, continually improving our record. On a same note i remember being able to taunt dragons and actually succeed fairly often.

I remember a summer night where my computer kept overheating, talking to Pan about eating fig newtons and drinking beer.

I remember bitching and bitching to finally get some decent orc armors in the drop tables, and finally when I get the boss at the top of the tower to drop it....it's actually worse than racial bought armor.

I remember being the 2nd or 3rd to hit lvl 20 after wipe #2, I was in minas Morgul.

I remember splitting party so I could go solo all the cultists in the south, or just because there were 6 people in the party.

I remember spending hours on end soloing nazghul, and then Sal would always get all the worthwhile drops.

I remember getting pwned by saruman the first time i ever visited him....with 1 spell. At least I went back up and got my cammo cloak right after.

I remember getting lost on Caradhras pass for hours with Nel.

There are more im sure.

I remember BigV having the most cammo cloaks ever after my first wipe...it was like 3

I remember when V being able to taunt Glaurang was a BIG deal cuz we could hardly hit him! And it took all of Nelor's buffs to get his taunt skill that high.

I remember the first time I stumbled upon the lonely mountain, I walked in and was instantly feared by Smaug's aura, I hadn't discovered the concept of mind spell immunity.

I remember the first time I was able to solo Dul Guldor with my level 17 druid! Before there were 2 Nazgul and the Necromancer was weak!

The first time a small group of us took down the shadow and flame in the deeps of Moria...I remember that too.

I remember when camp kits were considered lockpicks.

I also remember the 2 times madwack banned me and then lifted the ban a day later both times.

I wish I remember the name of the player who bought little level 5 me (level 20 cap mind you) all the Gondorian Racial stuff from minas Tirith. Good Man. I remember Pan and Angus' naked cage matches in rivendell. I remember trying to read Pseudotropheus for the first time... Damn your long names Gup.

There was a couple of us around the Lv20 cap times that gave newbies loads of free stuff. Although i usually gave away standard +3 stuff instead of buying racial.

I remember the first time i joined arda and leveled up the hard way. got all of the Haradim racial stuff back when it had the cool helm, then mad changed it! the fiend!

The first time we did the Falath Naz we got the regen ring...thought it was rare and I was disapointed I didn't get it...and then we did him again and got another...then another...and then another. Razz

I remember...

when Dent & Helene ran around tickling everyone when the feather from the bath house was new - and when it worked on the Witch King!

when I had no idea how directionally challenged I was because we BTed everywhere

getting really, really creeped out by the sound fx at Shelob's

not being able to speak for the first week or so playing the game, as I went straight from install to Arda, not even stopping to try out the single player game - I had no idea wtf I was doing

accidentally attacking Lady by trying to use my radial menu to say 'hi', not realizing it kinda matters which char you've selected first, d'oh

our brief foray into guilds & the Legions of Foamy

Bob spending a week or so with those shrimpy ladies out in the Harad (wtf was the name of that place) for armor for Pandora & practically going insane - I love The Mister! Very Happy

getting so absorbed into talking to people like Jared or Mirwen, and a host of others (you know who you are), that I would just stop playing, thereby pissing off whoever I was supposed to be running around with

That being said, is there any way to salvage the good bits of the original Arda forums? Like, maybe copy it to a new list here? Cuz it's been taken over by the spammers & it's great fun to revisit, provided you can actually find the real forum entries
