Hey hows it going

Since some of Arda as it still stands predates the hordes expansion by a few years the dev crit defect that bioware introduced wasn't planned for.

So over these many years our various hosts have had us on the honor system to the effect that 1) nobody takes that feat and 2) we don't pick pocket which falls under the umbrella of common decency toward other players.

Pick pockets hasn't been an issue at all. Dev crit has however been taken. So, I took a few minutes to hack out a script to discourage having that feat and creating an obviously broken play experience where we can for example one shot the dragons of Middle Earth of all things.

The script detects certain character triggered events that detect the feat and immediately causes the character to level to 1st. You get your xp back to level up again minus a 10% xp loss. If 39th or 40th level triggers the script they get set back to enough for 38th when they level up again.

A clean surgical method would be to edit the feats.2da file in a hakpak and have everyone download it again but I'm not going to bother with that. So, we get a messy, blunt force trauma method instead.

Best of all would be to just stick with our customary honor system.

I'm with you there. Though I haven't played in a while I'm glad to see arda's still going!

Module is a little cleaner and seems to run marginally better. Since the humans were changed to elves in FS a monk fighting monastery and town house is going in at Kirmlesra and Tul Harar pretty soon to make up the proportions.

That will be all except for more cleanup and tweaking until we get more than 4 or 5 players logging in.
