The brolly was introduced as a buff item (according to osse when it was originally changed)
As so those of us that crafted it, made it for our fighters to use the high level buffs on it (it was one of the 1st items to have elemental immunity on.)
I implore you please do not move this away from a buff item to create another unused staff.

Wasnt my intention, Im not going to change any item against the will of players. Do you remember what is needed to forge it?

Keep the fire immune and maybe add freedom? dunno.. or true seeing.. would fit at least.

Is it too much if it is:

+4AC
+4cons
+5regen
Immunity fire
Freedom
True seeing

Still a medium armor but could attract people to use it.

Or we could go the boring way and add +6soak5. Alltho one medium armor should have DR imo.

I thought of DR too, but its really too boring.

No more immunities on items, even if fire immunity would fir to smaug.

The same for True seeing. We have already enough items with TS on it. Those who want TS, should buy a scroll. Im not totally against it, but the 2 items are enough.

And in no case Freedom. Freedom on the ring of men is the only thing that makes it special.

And considering we ve already +4 const and 5 regen, there should only be added some minor thing.

Could you please post some stats of other forge armors so we can compare?
(Aragorns, Belegennons, Theodens, Imladagollo, and other good ones I forgot).

Im not against making good items as it may seem. Im only against making existing items useless by making those forges better. There has to be a better way to improve them.

bang another element immunity on the brolly and maybe even imp invis or greater stoneskin, or another nice buff

That really depends on what items are needed to forge the Umbrella.

If we always improve an item when someone thinks it was too bad, we get into a vicous cycle. The quality of an item has to correlate with the difficulty to forge it. So we need to see the requirements first before making any decisions Smile

Concerning Lobelias, that means:
The Umbrella is an ok item as it is now. But if many rare items are needed to create it, some light improvements might be possible.

I really fear the more improvements are accorded, the more suggestions for improvements will arrive. So plz stay realistic. Not every item plays in the range of forge items like Rilas staff or robe of aman. Only suggest changes if they are really needed (as in the case of smaugs armor).
