hey all Npc's all over towns in arda are fighting eachother, mithlong, laketown, cellebanon and possibly others. Unable to interact with npcs due to this occuring.

In goblin town befor the great goblin the leaver to open the door does not work, I bashed it in frustration. It was destroyed and didnt see it respawn.

Ost in Edill doesnt seem t be working right either the key in annatars house does not open floor 2 in galadriels house. No other keys or levers found.

Let you know if I find more.

Bree npcs and certain ones in riven are also attacking eachother.

Server should be restarted now.

Yep there is more stuff to repair than in some older versions.

The module might have gotten a build done on it recently. I don't know but that might affect some things.

Let's let the dust settle and just keep reporting with things that aren't right.

I checked various towns and can't find anything amiss? Thali, you sure you didn't accidentally attack a NPC? From what I understand, that aggro's most all NPC's and you are stuck with it to the next server reboot.

If anyone is still experiencing NPC issues, please post and I will reboot the server.

Goblin town
That lever does nothing for anything. Ignore it. You have to explore the place thoroughly and get all of the keys. Two will be permanent. Two are expended one right after Balkhmog and one right before the throne room cavern. GT works fine as I just ran the entire dungeon to see.

Ost-in-Edhil
Just like GT. Completion. Get all of the keys. There are two for Celeborn's house. That gets you to the servant of annatar. From him you get a key to the pyramid halls. Then there is a second servant within.

Blue Mountains, Ice Bay, Askhai Temple
There seems to be an obsolete original northern waste area leading to some temple. That's from pre-expansion packs Arda. Three previous server admins didn't even want to bother removing the old areas just north of fornost or evendim. These are no longer very important or helpful places.

The sea route by boat from the north blue mts is the new northern waste, now called ice bay is the new updated Askhai area. Same Askhai and Ulogarum from 2003 are used there so the xp drops off at early levels. Also, the Ulogarum never gave xp until their werewolf form was destroyed. If you do too much damage too quickly it never gets the chance to transform into a werewolf, so no xp will result.

I ran thru these updated areas with a 6 level reincarnate and would estimate the entire adventure including all quests would yield roughly 12k experience to a non-reincarnate, even with nothing from the all too easy Askhai encounters.

For new players we probably just need a couple more simple quests from Mithlond. Maybe we could search for 4 missing scouts in tower hills and blue mts for 200 xp each along with Con +2 boots and +2 armor bracers for quest awards. Then they could push north or east from the start area a little more confidently.

Nice. It has been so long since I leveled a new guy from scratch that I am always at a loss to advise new players. I am thinking about starting new guy with no hand me downs and see how it goes. I know Zarak started a few guys like that before a previous Dm helped him locate his old account, he would be a good resource.

It is a lot of 2 steps forward and 1 step back from respawning so much. A couple of easily acquired AC and hit point items could go a long way without feeling like an excessive reward.

got the key in the monastery WWS of Tul Harar. Key indicates it opens a door in the S part of the town. crosschecked it twice: no door opens. do i have a "wrong" key? is the door hidden? or is there a bug?
... or is just the module not yet active?

Sorry the new place is not in yet. I'll do a mini update in a few days to get it loaded up. It is built I just need to test a bit more and put in a drop script. Work/gf/home have me chained up in obligations though so I just ask for a little patience.

Seems to be a problem with the interior tileset in the new dungeon. It works just fine testing locally but not live online. I'll have to look into this.

Necro is still bugged. As soon as he is attacked he will despawn.

Per an email from Illuminus, he is very busy with work. Fingers crossed he has the opportunity to update Arda after the Holidays.
