Thank you Illuminus. I may have to start a ranged guy. Not had any ranged love on DnD games ever. Best ever was Atropa Genar on Asherons Call. Max ranged, maxed melee defense. Ranged tank. I am sure some old AC folks still hate Atropa.
I may hit you up on build advise
Aha, Orc Holds! I thought this was another Gundabad level.... IC. _________________ Tread heavily and carry two big axes |

are all items, even the ones on the chars concerned or only the new drops?
and if it is only the new ones, could we "reforge" the old item by putting it into the forge chest? _________________ May my Sword shine in battle with courage and honour.

You can just have the dm swap it out for the new one in game. |

this implies that the dm will have to be present in order to have the item changed.
what about having the option "reforge item" when u r at the forge.
u put the old forge item into chest, then u are given the same, but new item (similar to briliant white boots in MT forge) _________________ May my Sword shine in battle with courage and honour.

Just to keep things in perspective, how many old forged bows out there need to get exchanged for new ones?
New update should be live now.
Carrock
recently it looks like the half-orc forge master was replaced with a dwarf
it now wears armor instead of nothing
Imladris
floating birch tree brush is now at ground level
Eregion - Hollin
floating birch tree brush is now at ground level
new beacon tower Sirtathar from MERP/Rhudaur campaign
Sirtathar is harder than the Cultirith or Vulseggi towers. It is the same difficulty as Barad Girithlin or The Argond in Cardolan. We don't have a Rhudaur - The Angle zone so it was put in Hollin.
Drop: fairly rare is the broad shield Gogan Laazg which is also found elsewhere.
5 to 40 random Hillman Throwers will always drop. Throwing axe 2d8 bludgeon, +6 mighty, daze and/or stun on failed saves. |

I've got a Galadriel's Bow on my archer. I think that's the only one I forged. |

I'll be putting any further updates on pause for my part. Some things that were created and/or fixed have gotten modified with no notice or consultation. That means the foregoing information that you guys are getting about these updates may not be accurate if you play the module. |

Not cool.
If you are going to have multiple people editing the module it's a recipe for disaster. Hopefully this can be resolved. |

I can assure that since I took over hosting, no updates have been applied to Arda except the ones supplied by Illuminus. Including myself, we are the only two people with access to the server. _________________ Tread heavily and carry two big axes |

Ok...anyone know what happened then? I appreciate Thorsson that nothing happened your end, so was it just a corrupted update?
I'd like to have the module up and running and improved so i can dip in when I actually have time |

Just checked the logs and Arda has been up and running 100% except for the initials reboot figuring out the hosting the first 48 hours and reboots after adding new builds. We are running build v666, created from v665 with the last ERF you sent and I imported 10/18. You are the sole builder, you and I have sole access to the server, including DM access.
What are the changes you noticed, I am very curious as to what you found? When can always revert back to the original build v664 supplied by Tethra and apply your two updates?
My part in the Lands of Arda is strictly making sure it is hosted and up for anyone who wants to experience the best NWN server. While I have IT skills to troubleshoot server issues to keep the server running and between my brothers and I the means and dedication to keep hosting up indefinitely (we love this server); I have no coding skills. Arda is relying on your Arda knowledge, builder skills and direction.
Thank you! _________________ Tread heavily and carry two big axes |

Then Teth may have been immediately changing some things as I gave them over for import. Not encouraging having the same job done three times (initial release, tinkering, restoring) when it was fine the first time.
We'll get back on track. |

Tomb of the Dark Mage
This should wrap up the whole beacon tower and blood-wight campaign, linking everything together.
Quote: |
Ethacali the Easterling was a sorcerer of the black arts forever driven by a thirst for greater power. His wandering brought him westward where he fell under the influence of the Necromancer who gave him over to the Witchking who then ruled Angmar. The Witchking gave command of his besieging armies in Rhudaur to Ethacali who became known as the Dark Mage. Ethacali oversaw the sacking of the old bickering Dunedain fiefs and beacon towers in Rhudaur but he had a secret assignment as well. His second mission was to seek out and unearth the ancient blood-wights and bring the feral undead back to heel under the influence of the Witchking and the Necromancer to further their ends. This too he accomplished after an arcane struggle with the blood-wights. Decades after the campaigns in Rhudaur, Ethacali grew old and constructed a tomb for himself and his loyal retainers. The dungeon had been prepared with his own dark sorcery so that he would carry on in undeath as a mighty lich that would rise up in wrath when disturbed by living explorers. |
Location: Rhudaur in that long empty cave entry under Dol Cultirith.
Keys: a Tomb Key 1 (Blogath) and a Tomb Key 2 (Cagh Monunaw at Sirtathar)
Difficulty: harder than Rileneldor and Blogath Crypt, easier than Upper Guardian and Ghost Caves, roughly like Isengard or Gundabad
Drops: always 10 random scrolls plus a double index item drop, rare ironskin ring as found at Gundabad, rare Galvorn, some low level repeat drops and if you're really lucky a double ORD drop
Secondary Changes all minor
fixed Emissary of Angmar drop script at Tharbad Water Tower for a couple of missing potions due to incorrect reference and put some skimpy clothing back on her
fixed or removed more floating birch brush at Gwathlo Marches
replaced Bonisha Dar because a Haradim flag had dropped down in front of the temple doorway at some point
added Bard's Boatman Leather armor to Bagmog, quarry pit boss drop at Wintirion
reinstated slirdu instead of the "slird" creature at Wintirion quarry pit
Blogath may begin using originally installed cleric spells in addition to the usual, but reduced her 20 knockdown bolts to just 2 bolts
other minor fixes like the above
As before, if any drops look out of place/nerfed, chime in and I will restore them. I will not be actively looking in the toolset for any modified equipment for these updates. Just report them if found. |
